"REVISED POLICIES REVISED AGAIN! AUDITORS GONE CRAZY. LET’S MAKE IT EASIER."
The many changes to some of our major policies have providers confused. This seminar will help alleviate the confusion and frustration. Attendees will receive a handout on the following topics combined into one policy that will make the rules clearer and easier to follow.
• ABNs - When, why and how to use properly
• PAP policy with explanations on the details and all the changes
• Oxygen policy explained including what we can and cannot do
• Audits and contractors; who they are and what you can expect.
We will put all the revisions together so you and your employees can better explain the requirements to your patients, referral sources and physicians, and to be sure you are in compliance with federal regulations. You will receive helpful hints and ideas on how to obtain the correct documentation in a timely manner. Learn about some of the anticipated changes that may occur so that you can effectively prepare for any eventuality and recognize the importance of following all updates.
CMS, OIG, and the GAO have issued many statements to the effect that there will be “ZERO TOLERANCE” for fraud and abuse. Multiple contractors have signed contracts to assist the government. I will explain who they are and provide examples of what issues they are targeting. We will learn how to avoid the ones we can and be prepared for the ones we cannot. Please join us. It will be a full day of information with dedicated time for your questions.
Registration materials are attached.
Best Regards,
Ann
