Here it is December 14th and only 11 days left till Christmas but more importantly only 17 days left of my being the president of WAMES. I want to tell all of you that this has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As silly as it might sound I had always wanted to be the president but I had also wanted to be the first female to do it. Well that never happened but those that served before me did nothing but lay a great foundation for me.
What has happened during my term? Our country elected the first black American as president, we have been involved in one of the worst wars of all times and we experienced our second depression. I mention all of this because it all had a major effect on our industry-and us. But as we always do we survived and we persevered.
